I was recently introduced to this cool little spot called Panasia in Seomyeon, Busan. With restaurants in this city most of them are hidden away on floors above or beneath the ground floor so they’re not always so easy to point out. A friend of mine introduced myself and a couple of other friends to this restaurant and I must say it was delicious.
I’m a very picky eater; I can’t drink milk, dairy products or eat peanuts and I don’t eat pork or seafood. So being in Korea where my dietary requirements aren’t even thought of by the average Korean makes ordering food difficult. Only a tad. But even being a picky eater this restaurant satisfied my taste buds as well as my hunger.
The restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere to it, dim lighting and bottomless flavoured water stands.
It’s good on the wallet as our meal between four people came up to 56,000₩ which is about £40 or $56. Everyone was satisfied enough to get dessert after. Ok. I managed a blueberry muffin from Tom n Tom Coffee shop after but everyone was satisfied and settled for a drink (I just eat a lot!)
We ordered and shared our meal. One thing you learn about living in Asia is communal eating. Saves money too! We ordered two portions if egg fried rice, chicken (with shaved nuts on top), small bready goodness (I don’t remember it’s restaurant name), bokchoi and shrimp curry.
I’d recommend this cool spot in Seomyeon if you’re looking for a change of scenery for those of us living here. Or, if you’re travelling and on a budget looking for something light and filling. It’s clean, the food is prompt and it tasted good.
I think that’s all for now.
Thanks Rachelle for showing us to this restaurant!
